Who's Yer Con

Who's Yer Con is a free gaming convention, and the flagship event put on by Who's Yer Gamers each year. Its history includes three years under the moniker "MavenCon" before its official branding in 2009, and has been held at various locations in the Indianapolis metro area due to constant growth.

Who's Yer Gamers is proud to announce the 8th annual Who's Yer Con will be hosted again at the Wyndham Indianapolis West hotel on April 1-3, 2016! Make sure you Sign In to pre-register for a badge, submit events you'd like to GM, and reserve a seat at your favorite games!

I want to...

Book a Room at the Hotel

You can book a room at the Wyndham Indianapolis West by either clicking this link or by calling the hotel at (317) 248-2481. If you call the hotel please be sure to mention that you are with Who's Yer Gamers.

Create an Account

  1. At the top right of the page, click "Sign In/Register" and then click "Not a member yet? Register here."
  2. Fill in the relevant fields and click "Register" at the bottom of the page.
  3. Check the email account that you signed up under, and click the activation link in the email that was sent to you. That will send you back to the WYG site where you can log in.
    Note: We have been getting reports that sometimes the activation email may take a few minutes to be sent.

Register for the Convention

  1. Follow the steps in "Create an Account" above. Sign in to your account.
  2. After signing in, you should be on the "Dashboard" page. If you are not, click the drop-down arrow next to your username at the top right of the page and click "Dashboard."
  3. You'll see a section called "Upcoming Conventions" where Who's Yer Con 2016 is listed. To the right of this section, you'll see a button that says "Not Registered." Click this and then click "Register for Con."

At this time, Badge Pre-Registration for Who's Yer Con 2016 is closed... but don't worry! You can still register on-site for a badge at the Registration Desk

Submit Events as a Game Master

  1. To submit games you want to run as a game master, you'll need to follow the directions above in "Create an account" and "Register for the con."
  2. Make sure you are logged in and are on your Dashboard (click your name at the top right of the page to go to Dashboard if you are not there already)
  3. Now that you are registered for the con, you'll see a green button that says "Registered." Click this and you'll see "Manage My GM Events."
  4. To submit a new event, click "Submit New Event." Fill in all the fields and submit.
  5. You will now see the event you just submitted. You'll notice a button on the right called "Pending." This will let you know the status of your event. If the convention organizers need more information from you, they will email you.
  6. Repeat as necessary.

At this time, GM Event Submission for Who's Yer Con 2016 is closed.

Register for Events

  1. Make sure you have followed the instructions above for "Create an account" and "Register for the con."
  2. Make sure you are logged in and are on your Dashboard (click your name at the top right of the page to go to Dashboard if you are not there already).
  3. Click the green button that says "Registered" and you'll see "Register for events."
  4. You will see a list of games. You may SEARCH each section in the empty fields at the top. You can also click the drop-down arrows next to each field to sort by that field.
  5. When you find a game you want to register for, click the "Not Registered" button to the right of the event and click "Register for event."
  6. To unregister for an event, find the event in the listing and clicking the green "Registered" button and click "Unregister for event."
  7. NOTE: You cannot sign up for two events that occur at the same time.

At this time, Event Registration for Who's Yer Con 2016 is closed. You can still join events that have open seats, though. Make sure to check the event catalog in the program, then ask the GM if there is room for you to join.

Join as a Member

  1. To join Who's Yer Gamers as a paid member, follow the instructions above for "Create an account" and "Register for the con."
  2. Make sure you are logged in and are on your Dashboard (click your name at the top right of the page to go to Dashboard if you are not there already).
  3. Directly under your name you will see a link to "Upgrade Membership!"
  4. Clicking this takes you to a page where you can choose a membership. For a Supporting Membership, the cost is $25 and includes a member swag bag, voting privileges, and other discounts.
    • You can also choose a High Roller Membership for $100, which is the opportunity to support WYG as an Individual Sponsor.
    • High Roller Memberships offer all the benefits of a supporting membership, plus a bonus game, a High Roller badge holder, a bigger WYG cup, and an invitation to a reception at Who's Yer Con.
    • NOTE: High Roller Memberships are limited in supply and are first-come, first-served.
  5. Once you have decided your membership level, choose your method of payment: PayPal, or a credit or debit card. Follow the directions and click "Pay Now."

At this time, online membership upgrades are closed. You can upgrade your membership at the Registration Desk at the convention.

Volunteer at the Convention

  • Who's Yer Gamers runs entirely on volunteers to survive. We could not do what we do each year without the dedication of volunteers. Volunteers like YOU!
  • Available Now! - If you've already created an account here on our site there is a new " Plug In!" section available on your account dashboard where you can sign up to be a Volunteer. Once your Volunteer Status has been confirmed, and as long as you've registered for the convention, you'll see a new "View Volunteer Shifts" link from the dropdown menu under your "Registered" button. There you can see and sign up for all of the various shifts we'll need help with at Who's Yer Con!
  • If you have additional questions about volunteering, please email volunteer@whosyergamers.org. You can also join the Who's Yer Gamers Volunteers Facebook page.

Note: Any volunteer shifts you sign up for between now and the convention won't appear on your printed schedule.

What is there to do at Who's Yer Con?

Here’s a list of things you can do at Who’s Yer Con 2016 “Still Free.. No Foolin'!” All events are free to convention attendees (with the exception of some Crafting courses which may have nominal material fees)!!


This year we are working with the Indiana Blood Center. They will be available onsite for donations on Friday April 1st and Saturday April 2nd 11am-4pm. Sign up in advance through the WYG website


If you have some spare time, stop by the Con Operations area and we’ll probably be able to use some help! Volunteering gets you access to the Volunteer Appreciation Suite, and has other tangible benefits! You can sign up to volunteer in advance via the website, or contact volunteer@whosyergamers.org


We have just over 3400 square feet of space with empty tables available for general use! Bring your gaming group together at the con to play a special session, or invite someone you just met to join you in playing a favorite game! Borrow a game from our Games Library and settle down in this space to play! Open gaming is available throughout the entire convention.


We have 12 Vendors selling games, minis, clothing, t-shirts, jewelry, soaps, pillows, hand-made crafts, books and more for you to visit! Stop by and get a gift for yourself or a friend!

Borrow a game and play in our Open Gaming area! Play with friends or invite someone new to join you!

Stop by the Games Library and ask about our “Play to Win” game titles. Borrow a copy of the listed games and play it, and you will be entered to win a copy at the convention!


Intended for children 12 and under, this room will have some toys and space for kids to burn off some energy, while their guardians can sit nearby and play a game at provided tables. Children MUST be supervised at all times by their parent/guardian! This is NOT a babysitting service.

Lady Flame returns this year to provide guidance and help in learning and playing many different games.


As part of the Who's Yer Gamers Mission, this area is set up as an introduction to some of the more casual, "gateway" games which are easy to learn and some fan favorites! Details can be seen on the schedule (or you can register for seats by logging in and visiting the event catalog) and using the search box under Event / Info to filter for "modern gaming 101".


In these spaceship bridge simulators, teams of six players coordinate from their individual stations to explore space and combat enemies. You can be the ship captain, or work the engineering, navigation, communications, weapons, or science stations!


Hosted by Indie Boards & Cards and Bezier Games. Join games of Ultimate Werewolf, One Night Ultimate Werewolf, The Resistance, and Coup. Game demos provided by Envoy Heralds.


For the first time this year, WYC is holding a silent auction with lots of games and other items up for grabs! Proceeds will benefit the Who's Yer Gamers mission to promote free and low-cost hobby gaming opportunities throughout Indiana. See the official convention program for details.


The contest is on Saturday from 2pm - 4pm, and there are multiple prize categories (including one for kids)! Wear your favorite outfit from your favorite fandom and maybe you’ll win! Even if you don’t want to enter the contest, costumes are welcome at WYC.


A free two-room True Dungeon experience (first come first served), a storyscape/social setting to enjoy, and a Token Transmutation room will all be featured at WYC 2016.


Enthusiasm from last year's offerings have us continuing a variety of non-gaming programming, including yoga, knitting, cake decoration, and painting. Some courses may require a materials fee, to be paid to the instructor on site.

LARP seminar

This session will discuss The Trials of Terra Nova, a high-fantasy Live Action Role Playing game, and will include both a discussion panel as well as a demo of how the game is played. Check the schedule for more details or visit the event catalog to reserve a seat!

Teams of two compete in a timed Pandemic game where every team faces identical decks and challenges. The decisions made determine the winning team, who will receive prizes and the ability to compete at the National Tournament at GenCon Indy in August 2016.


The Envoy Program, managed by Double Exposure, Inc., will be running FIVE Indiana State Championships: Diamonds, Nevermore, Skull King, Spellcaster & Wizard. The winners of each State Championship will be getting a trophy, plus a seat at the quarter final round of the Midwest Regional Championship at DieCon (and a free membership there)!


Need a quick bite between games? Take advantage of the hotel run concession stand in the halls! Sales of food at this location help offset convention costs, helping WYG throw this FREE convention!


Keep an eye out for the 60+ "Looking For Players" signs around the gaming areas – they will show you where empty seats are ready for you to join in. You may just meet your new regular gaming group!

INDYpendent SHOW — Sunday only

The INDYpendent Show is a place where people can learn and interact with local artists, comic creators, and more. Great for all ages and skill levels! Show runs Sunday 10am-4pm at no additional charge.
